Its been a while...
'sigh' It been a while I haven't update my blog. Finally tonight I have the time I need to blog about what Ive done for the past few days..or probably weeks :). Can't blog for a while since im struggling with my C programming assignment which the due date is on 30th Sept. Luckily I managed to finish the assignment one day before the due date.Fuhhh what a relief.Ive sleep for a couple of hours that day just to finish the damn assignment.Got drag until one day before due date because I was too lazy to do the Tracing question.Hate that Tracing the code part.since it involves in tracing the pointer where the pointer is pointing to,pointer right now refering to the next value, increasing pointer by one, Update array bla bla bla.But at last boleh buat gak hehe.which reminds me to what old people used to say " Kalau hendak seribu daya, Kalau tak nak seribu dalih".Yeap thats right.I believed in those quote. If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. At last Ive submitted my assignment. So for now, rite now I have no other assignment to do. Just a C programming test which I have to sit this 5th Nov.Well it just an Internal test. The external exam is in Dec.Boy a month from now.
Just got back from my Tok(grandma)'s House this evening. Yesterday went to Tok's house in Parit Buntar to attend Kenduri Berbuka Puasa at surau.Acctually its was Tok's kenduri Tahlil.Arrives there around 4. While waiting for the people who in charge in lauk kenduri and stuff come,As a good cucu(grandson) hahah, me and my Uncle Pak SU(normally we called him "Acu") helped grandma to arrange all the table at surau, putting kuih and kurma(dates) on every table. Quite a lot a people berbuka puasa(break fast) that night. Huh.. I even need to go back to buka puasa at grandma's house since there is no room for me to buka puasa there. Hmm but acctually is good to buka posa at house that day. You can eat two plates(did I mention It was me..? I mean someone else) hahah.
Hmm last week on Thursday before entering Ramadan and fasting, me and family went to KL.Acctually It was last minute plan.Somehow my dad had a meeting again(crazy) in KL. Which means me my mom and both my bro have the chance to do some shopping.Well, acctually to meet my second brother who currently studying in MMU.Mom wanted to buy him Baju Melayu and also other clothes. So again I had to be the driver... bummer. We leave home around 6 I think .. then stop by at grandma's house, resting..After performing our Maghrib Prayer, we continue our journey to KL. In KL, we stayed at my Mak Long's House( My mom's big sister) in Serdang. Finally I have the chance to meet my cousin and also my small new cousin Sparrow lol. Hmm dunno why I preferred to stay with my Mak Long compare to my other Father's relative(Father's sister). I guess I feel so close with my Mak Long and also with 2 of her daughters.Feel comfortable being with them and easy to talk to.
First day in KL, went to Jalan Masjid India to buy Baju Melayu. At first I wasn't planning to buy Baju Melayu since I still have another Baju Melayu which I got it from my Pak Endak which is his old Baju Melayu(we had a same size)But the Baju still in a perfecto condition.Hmm but then.. Dad insist to buy another one the first hand Baju Melayu and not the second hand one.Goshh I make it sounds like a bundle shop lol . This time, choose Light but not very light green. Same with my gurl. Hmm she's the one who force me and insist me to pick green for the baju melayu for this Raya. Thank god its not pink.Dunno why lately she started to like pink and been asking me to buy a pink baju melayu(crazy).. errkk..Yikes!! If I got one also.. definitely, muktamad, seratus percen .. I don't wear it lol. Can't imagine How I look like wearing something in pink.
Next day(Saturday Morning), Mom, dad, both of my Bro, My Maklong and my couz when to Nilai 3 . Yeah as ussual shopping thingy.Me..? Acctually i've got plans of my own. Went out with my gurl to KLCC after planning with her the night before lol.Its been a long time I haven't see her.Been planning it for a long time. That morning consult with Maklong and my Couz on how to get to KLCC by LRT,STAR,PUTRA( goshh!! to many train im confused).,Boyy you can ask my couz Jasmine anything bout shopping complex, the road, and how to get there. She can answer it for you.Too experienced with the road and shopping complex. She also one hell of a driver too i mean for a gurl laa:).She even had been to the new Mall Time Square Mall.My gurl work that day.So while waiting for her to finish her work,I went to the hotspot of IT bargains hunters in KL which is Lowyatt Plaza.Bought Lite on CDROM drive for my couz since her CDROM when crazy (Likes to follow according to its mood to read the cd). Also bought me a second hand Xircom PCMCIA Ethernet card for my laptop which cost me around 98 ringgit.I wasn't planning to buy it in the first place. My main priority was the Thumbdrive. But then since all the thumbdrive price were up. I've change my mind and bought this PCMCIA card.
Huarghh its already 4.02 am. Soon its goin to be the time for sahur. should sleep for a while. Feel very sleep rite now.Tomorrow had to sent my mom to School. You know....market thingy again.. arghhh suckss. Anyway since its already in Fasting month,I take this oppoturnity to wish to all Muslimin and Muslimat, Selamat menunaikan Ibabah puasa.Semoga amalan kita di dalam bulan puasa ini diberkati oleh Allah S.W.T insyallah. HAPPY FASTING GUYS.. Au revoir. Currently listening to >>>> David Gray - January Rain SERENDIPITY OST

Got links that I've found which maybe interests me.
Actually is a graphical Installation project for OpenBSD.Wow this is kewl.Normally OpenBSD installation would be in text based. But now we can setup OpenBSD installation thru graphical interface.Making it easy for user to install OpenBSD.Hmm I haven't try it tho.I've heard it is complicated when comes to partitioning.Must know the concept.

G.O.B.I.E Project
Http://gobie.net
The main goal of the GOBIE is to add a graphical installation of the famous OS OpenBSD. This project has been developed in the spirit of OpenBSD which means that the installation is as close as possible as the text one.
GOBIE wishes to add some value to the product by developping installation modules to known servers such as Bind, Sendmail, Inn, Apache...
The team is composed of 2 students from the French science computer school known as {Epitech}.
The GOBIE projects is develloped using C and GTK. It uses the XFree86 Server version 4.2.0. We are recoding most of the tools, like xinit, disklable and fdisk.
The XServer is loaded into a RamDisk and uses a generic configuration file offering a screen area of 800x600 8bits.
The first release will be available for downloading in the meantime of July and should be a bootable ISO.

Ouchhh!! My C's
Ouch!,Ouch!, I've missed my C programming class today.I didn't ponteng my C class on purpose okay.but I accidently oversleept duhhhhh.Somehow I forgot to set the Alarm on my Handphone. No wonder laa I didn't hear any sound from my phone, I've set it to /etc/voice.conf(silent mode).
I woke up around 11.30 but the class were already started at 10.30.Hmm but then,I still won't able to rush my way to College since I don't have my Satria 1.3GLI(Maroon Babe) with me because mom had already took the car to school. However,I still have another evening class to attend today..yup Discrete Math.Hmm so I had my shower, wear my plain black tee shirt and jeans and went off to College without having my breakfast.Took yellow bus today.Yellow Bus stops in front of Makro.Huh Yellow bus..? Did I say Yellow Bus..?boyy it was like that advert for Bumiputra Commerce which always shows up before TV3 News " Why, You don't believe ahh!".Hmm you know its hard to take that $#%$#% Yellow bus.I know, because that area which I was waiting the for bus, Is not meant for that Yellow Bus to take passenger.Normally the bus would stop a few blocks from where I was waiting.Sometimes I had to run to the bus. but when I nearly got to the bus.. the bus already started to jalan again. @#$@%$#*.
Arrived at Komtar bus station. First thing that was on my mind is FOOD.Had my breakfast+lunch=fastlunch since so lapar haha. When my tank is full then.. baru laa senang jalan jalan.I didn't go to college yet.Instead, I went to Prangin Mall to pay Popular Bookstore a visit.Hmm on 23rd Popular Bookstore will be having a Book Fair.Goshh can't miss it.Set my memo on my 7110 to remind me of that date.As usual went to Computer section to find out any new arrivals. But it seems like certain shelves with books are missing.Probably they shifted to the Book Fair.Saw one book from Sybex title Networking( COMPLETE) kewl book.I even asked the cute looking amoi at the counter to open the wrapper for the book :).I sat at the back of that Computer section and start to flip thru that book. The book explains the details of the networking enviroment, network OS, the hardware and software use to assist in building a network. The books covers until 802.11b which is implementing a wireless network.Unfortunately this book were only focusing on Microsoft OS(Operating System) which is Win95,Win98Se,Windows NT,XP,2000 and not the mention Novell Netware 6.However..this book is a must for any levels of user who planning to understand and learning to implement networks. The price also is quite cheap.Just 72.50 i think(forgot the actual price :) ). Hmm perhaps i should put into my wish list.
Im at lab right now.. blogging, surfing while waiting for my class to start. This term I better study hard and smart.Since this is my last term.Have to manage my time correctly.

Finally, Drake Ver 1.2 has been released
Yeah i've finished creating the layout. Just add another bar or column on the left side for listing my friends blog, links. Probably in future I will add other stuff on that particular column. So minor changes have been made for each table. I called It Drake Ver 1.2 :P . Any comments would be apprieciated. Au revoir

My shirts smells like fish
Morning!, woke up early this morning. It still raining heavily outside..After Subuh prayer,I didn't continue my sleep.Instead I had to send my mom to School "yikes". Reason i was asked by my mom to send her to School was because, she asked me to buy some Pasar(market) stuff ..you know, fish, prawns, crab, taukua, taugeh bla bla bla.Eventhough I hate to go to Pasar eerkk I still have to go mann since I don't have any sister in my family, only brother 'Sigh'.Mom handed over the shopping list to me while we were in the car after we've arrived at school. "Haa Rezal, ni mama dah listkan what you have to buy at pasar". At first I thought It was going to be only 1 item which is a big fish for making Curry Fish.Read the list, Ouchh! lots of item to buy:( .Took me half an hour to complete my shopping.Yeahh wet market shopping sucks. The worst part is I SMELL LIKE NEMO arghh even my Windbreaker pun kena :(.Bought 10 sardines for my gurls at home. gurls? yeap, they were my cats. Nana and Nija.
After shopping, went straight home.Put all the stuff in the fridge and also feed both of my cats with sardines. Special treat for both of them this morning.Told them "haa Hari ni aku ingin memberi zakat" :). Gave them 2 sardines for each of them.Haha when they got it,I can't believe there were playing around with it. They even flip, toss around and drag the fish. Eat laa!! why are you playing with the food.Rezeki laa.Went upstairs for a while changing the Online Radio Station from Smooth Jazz 102.1 to Zed FM which was located in Canada,Red Deer, Alberta, the station was superb.Right now.. im prefer listening to Online radio than downloading songs. Lots of new songs they have broadcasted which I also haven't heard of It yet.Went downstairs to check both of my cats. Alamak..! what happen to all the sardines. All disappeared :). Saw my cats already sleep at the kitchen.

Tecras and other notebooks : problems with bzImage kernels
Tip provided by Manoj Srivastava
(Many thanks to Philip Hands
Tecras and other notebooks, and some PCs have a problem where they
fail to flush the cache when switching on the a20 gate (IIRC), which
is provoked by bzImage kernels, but not by zimage kernels.
bzImage files are actually "big zImage" not "bzipped Image". bzImage
kernels can be as large as you like, but because they need to decompress
into extended memory, they aggravate this problem. zImage kernels just
compress into conventional memory, so they never need to touch the a20 gate,
but they hit the 640k limit.
This problem is *not* present in late 2.1.* and later (2.2 when
available) kernels, bzImage kernel work just fine (the necessary code
has been added, see the .S files in the kernel sources).
For older kernels there are two solutions that I know of:
1) apply a patch, which flushes the cache. Unfortunately this
causes other machines to crash so is not universally applicable
(hence the tecra disks being segragated from the mainstream)
2) build a zimage, rather than bzimage kernel. This seems to get
round the problem. use the --zimage option to make-kpkg, or even
set this as the default in /etc/kernel-pkg.conf.

Aku tak pergi mana pun hari nie. aik! kenapa aku tak speaking london hari nie?. Because aku tukar angin jap. Probably lama tak memblogkan diri dalam BM. Yeah, macam aku cakap tadi, aku tak pergi mana pun hari nie. Just sits at home.Terasa malas pulak aku nak keluar. Supposely aku plan nak gi Popular bookstore saja gi tengok buku yang aku really realy plan nak beli but then, terasa malas pulak nak keluar. So lepak dalam bilik aku yang macam kucing nak beranak. Pergh tak kemas lagi bilik aku nie.Atas meja ni still penuh dgn reference books yang aku still dok baca. Hmm bila aku perhati balik buku-buku yang ada atas meja PC aku ni, baru aku perasan, Buku Grokking the GIMP and Solaris Administration : A beginner's guide belum aku pulangkan lagi pada member aku Altaf(Helix). Hmm nanti aku kena inform dia pasal dua buku nie. Buku "Grokking The GIMP" tu aku dah baca, quite interesting gak, dia ajar teknik-teknik menggunakan GIMP with digital images and mostly all the steps are easy to follow.Solaris plak aku baca-baca camtu jer since aku tak start lagi nak install Solaris on my Scarletdiva.
Hmm malam ni hujan lebat pulak. Petang tadi pun hujan, sampai aku kena kensel jog.Dengan tracksuit aku yang koyak kat lutut and Baju nokia 610 Analog yang dah lusuh yang aku pakai tu, aku pun tuju laa ke pintu.Sampai saja aku kat depan pintu rumah nak keluar. Skali ujan lebat trus. perghh datang mengejut tetiba. So terkensel laa hajat aku nak gi jog. Malam ni sambil memblog, aku start kemas bilik aku yang bersepah nie. 3 Box PC masih tersadai blakang aku nie. 1 Box kosong tu aku punya. Planning nak build 166 System since aku still ada processor 166mhz from Intel tu but unfortunately it don't have any Socket 7 mobo to go with it.Susah gak nak cari Socket 7 ni skang. The only place i know yang probably ada is at Lowyatt.Hmm bila laa agaknya aku boleh gi sana isk.Another 2 box pulak customer punya. 1 box customer tu aku dah repair tapi sampai skang ampeh mamat tu tak amik lagi PC dia. Rasa aku dah masuk 4 bulan ko kalau tak silap aku. Dia taknak ke PC dia.. isk. probably nanti aku kena kontek one of his friend yang hantar PC tu kat aku.Kalau tak ada laa duit sikit dalam tangan.Boleh aku beli buku.PC customer satu lagi tu..one of my ex schoolmate from SMHK(Sek.Men.Hamid Khan) aku blum start troubleshoot lagi. Im sure probably because of his OS yang buat problem. Aku kena settle kan cepat. Before I start doin my C assignment. Isk syok pulak ujan lebat malam ni. Tido pun best. Gotta go.. me signing off sleep sleep sleep.

Nothing happening today. Just stayed at home sits in front of my Scartletdiva(thats my AMD K62 400MHZ PC) surfing the net.Oh yaa currently im designing a new layout for my blog.well I think I need another column in my table to put my daily links, important dates,or probably wish list heh. Last night I went home with a smile on my face. I had my 1st Discrete Math test last night. Alhamdulillah i've managed to answer all the question. The paper was ok.Certain question in the test were similiar to what Ms Yap(my subject lec) have taught in class.I've heard from my classmates after we had finish our exam that they found out the paper was exactly the same with the internal paper they found on the net. Felt so rugi i didn't ask them bout it. But anyway its ok, I think I can pass this 1st paper.
Still have 2nd paper for Discrete Math and C programming assignment to go.Too lazy to start doing my C programming assignment. The due date for the assignment was actually on 23rd OCT. Yesterday Morning in C programming class, me and my classmates got a good news guess what..? our due date for the assignment have been extended to 29th OCT yehaa this means I have time to do my R&D stuff haha.Talking about R&D, i still haven't touch the Slackware CD which i have recently burned. Probably i should start doing this. But before doing that, i must backup all the data, MP3 (indonesian, love songs hehe),ISO. Yeahh just in case..scared that all my data just disappear like that.Installing Slackware Linux involves in creating a partition. In Slackware there are 2 types or partitioning tools that we can use, either the FDISK itself or CFdisk. truthfully speaking, im not very familiar with FDISK. FDISK doesn't have any User Interface.Just a nice black console for typing the command ;).An experience user such as my friend Helix would normally use this.As for me, for now im satisfied using CFDISK since it is easy to setup.Later my Scarletdiva will be having 2 OS :)
Lots of things i haven't tried yet. Squid Proxy, Apache Webserver(Had tried but haven't explore other functions yet), SAMBA,DHCP. Hmm another stuff i have try is, setting up DSL connection in Linux. That is the most important one.If there is no connection how am i going to surf using Linux heh.
Yeahh today in the evening i've start doing exercise to burn my fat.(goshh!! scared to watch my belly hehe). Went for a swimming in Gambir Heights.Had 25 laps backstroke.just few people swimming today which mean I can swim freely :). Due to the exercise i've done, im feeling energetic tonight which makes my mind thinks straightly.
Thats all for now.Got a movie called "The Four Feathers" to watch. Hopes this movie won't make me sleep on the couch :)
Got this picture from my friend. A homeless Guy, a street code who will code for food. Goshh thats kewl. I wonder if i he had his own weblog hmm..

So weak, so tired, so Sleepy
Felt sleepy today I don't know why.Somehow I felt very tired so I slept for couple of hours.I Woke up check the phone.Arghh check the time back, "6.15",With my face still like a blur sotong and my hair like SON GOKU in DragonBall, I took my "Wuduk" and had my Asar Prayer.Got headache.. so i went down and ate something to fill up my stomach. Hmm i should start jogging/hiking i guess .. its been quite sometime i haven't go for a jog, hiking or even swimming. Need to burn this fat.. felt like i gained berkilo kilo already. The reason i stop jog or hiking was because of the rainy season which affect all the Nothern area.So what to do, just eat sleep eat sleep.
Hmm its going to be a month of ramadan soon..yea.. its a fasting month for all the Muslim yay i miss fasting, terawih, qiamulail.Still remember when I used to climb/hike/jungle trekking/joggging alone in Bukit Jambul after Solat Terawih(at night).Actually i like to walk in the jungle and climb up the hill(Can't go during daylight since fasting :) ). Wow believe me.. its so quiet, peaceful and dark. The best part is when you reached the top of the Hill. The view was damn superb especially at night.can see the sea and Penang Bridge covering with lights at night.Next time when i go climbing/hiking i'll make sure that snap some
This morning i woke up early. Had to bring my mom and my small brother to National Registration Department (JPN) at town as my mom need to renew her IC and my small broter need to make IC since he already turns 12.Dad went to KL to attend meeting..so took dad's car.Actually,we're planning to go to another JPN branch which was stated at Balik Pulau. Unfortunately, heard on the radio this morning, certain road heading to Balik Pulau were closed due to flood. So we had no choice but to go to town branch. The traffic this morning was ok.Not in bumper to bumper situation as the traffic flow smoothly.Reached there around 9.00, pass by the JPN building since i was going to parked
the car nearby.gosh.. lots of people today. there were queueing until outside the office just to take the Number.
Had a nice chat with a new friend i've met tonight, Azya whom currently studying in Japan. She is quite friendly you know.Nice, funny, from Utara too:).Huh I even learned fews japanese word from her today. We have something similar anway, both of us likes cat :) .To bad she can't keep pets in her apartment. Anyway check out her cool blog
Kiranya kau tahu

Slackware 9.1 Download Completed, Burn Baby Burn!
Yeah, finally all the Slackware 9.1 ISO had been downloaded. It took me a week to completely download all the 4 CDs 'sigh'. Why..? because my mom always switch off the main switch when im not at home or went to college. She thought i forgot to switch off the PC.Huh!! i don't know what to say :(. Felt sad when im came home, all i saw was a quiet PC with no Green Light and Red Blinking Hardisk which indicates the PC were turned off and :(. Sometimes i would turn off the Monitor so that she will think that i already switched off the PC.Yet,all my mom knows is, if the main swith is still on,then she will turn it off straight away. Arghhhh what to do what to do.. perhaps i should lock this room when im going out lol.
So last night after having a drink in town with Helix, i went back and burned Slackware 9.1 ISO onto CD. I only burned the first 2 CDs (CD1 and CD2) since the other 2 CDs only contain the Source. So for those who don't know how to burn an ISO files onto the CD, here i wrote a simple step or guide or instructions or whatever you want to call it on how to burn an ISO file.
So since im using a Nero CD Burning Software therefore this guide will only be focusing on how to Burn an ISO file using the software. So without futher adoo, Lets start
BURNING ISO USING NERO - HOWTO
- Firstly make sure the Nero burning Software had been installed.
- I assume the you already installed the software. So start the Nero software.
- Normally, once you start Nero, Nero should display a wizard. We will not be using Wizard. So choose cancel
- Then, from the menu command, Choose "FILE"--->"BURN IMAGE"
- An "Open" file dialog box appears with the following image types supported (*.nrg, *.iso, *.cue)
- From here, you can browse the ISO file which you are planning to burn. Choose the file and click open.
- By now the "Write CD" dialog box should appear with several tabs (Info, Foreign image, Misc, Burn).
- Click the 'BURN' tab and make sure that 'Write' and 'Finalize' are selected
- Then click 'Write' and watch it burn. Yeahh Baby :)

Rainy night
Tonight had my Discrete Maths class. The class was ok.Ms Yap went through all the revision excercise for chapter 1 until chapter 3 and also started few topics for chapter 4. So far the class was ok.I was able to coupe what she's have been teaching.Class finish as usual..at 9.00. Gosh.. tonight was raining heavily.Unfortunately i didn't drive car to college today. But hey.. im used to it. Acctually i preferred going to class by BUS rather than driving.Unless if i was in hurry then i will drive :).So tonight i walked in the rain, luckily i brought with me my Windbreaker eventhough this morning was not raining.i don't know why, but i felt like bringing it today.
I had to walk to Komtar first since the bus station is beneath the shopping complex. It took me bout 20 minutes from my College.I like to walk in the shopping complex at this time. Its because,at this time the shopping complex was not crowded with people anymore.Liked to watch people closing their shop, mop the floor, cleaning the KFC windows. They even know me when i pass by their shop or restaurant, sometimes they would say "hi",smile at me<-- specially McD gurl haha, and sometimes they would even make joke like "Haa tak boleh lalu sini, nak lalu kena bayar tol" :)with their hand spread wide.Gosh i can't believe suddenly ive made friends with them.I even don't know their name. So kewl! Couple days ago ive mentioned about InfraRed USB adapter from ST LAB that i have bought.Unfortunately i haven't got time to elaborate about it. So without further adoo :) here's the review. Details of the ST LAB USB-IRDA - Supports SIR and FIR - FIR 4Mbps of data transfer range - SIR supports up to 115K bps of transfer rate - Backward compatible to MIR, SIR and 56Kbps - Full compatible with IRDA 1.1 and USB 1.1 - Supports platform such as WIN98,WINME,WIN2000,WINXP and also Linux. Basically its small .. like a thumbdrive. How i wish they can combine IR with thumbdrive perghh thats kewl :)
Because it was small, im having little bit trouble with the reception. The Handphone must be place quite near to the IR adapter since it has problem connecting to the phone.
So thats all from me now i guess.. chioooww.

Herbix
http://herbix.cuodan.net
What is Herbix
Herbix is my solution to the problem of being able to serve content temporarily or for long periods from any computer without intefering without the contents of its hard disk.
This is useful for occasions where you need to set up a temporary (example) webserver in the office lan but do not have the permission/budget to purchase a new computer for the task. On such occasion, an unused computer with a floppy drive and a network card is all you need to set up a multipurpose content server for http, ftp, smtp, dhcp and even irc if need be! The usefulness of such is obvious and need not be elaborated any more.

DAMN SMALL LINUX
http://www.damnsmalllinux.org
What is Damn Small Linux?
Damn Small Linux is a business card size (50MB) bootable Live CD Linux distribution. Despite its minuscule size it strives to have a functional and easy to use desktop.
Why?
Because having a working Linux desktop on a 50 mb bootable business card CD is just too cool not to do.
Screenshots anyone..?[1][1]
