Cycling In The Rain - Waterproof bags

For most commuter cyclist, rain is a fact of life.Rain comes from all directions when youre riding a bike down from the sky: up from your wheels and sideways both driven by wind and splash by cars.The most important part when cycling during the rain is the stuff/items that you are carrying in your bag, be it books, electronic device such as your mp3, your palm, iphone,laptop, portable Hardisk... etc something that you know will be spoilt because of the water. So how do you protect your stuff from getting wet.

Basically during my day to day cycling to the office,whether it is raining or not, i will make sure that all the important stuff that might get wet are put into the plastic bag. What type of plastic bag that i used?. Basically the cheapest solutions is to use a normal used shopping plastic bag that you get from your local shopping store be it Jusco, Tesco, Pasaraya Taikaly, Kedai Runcit Arumuggam Karupayah you name it. Always make sure you tie up the plastic tightly you might not want to see your stuff getting all wet when you arrive at the office do you..?

If you have and extra budget, you might want to consider a suitable or a decent plastic bags which have a zip lock like these.

I bought the jusco selection storage bags. It cost me around RM6 for 1 box. for each box contains 15 bags. They are variety of size which you can choose form. Basically you can find other brands such as Tesco, ziploc, etc provided that it has the zip lock.

Ussually it will have the zip lock on the top of the plastic bag



Open up the zip and stuffed all the critical items which you don't want to get wet



And walaaaa you are all set to go.
