Win XP to the rescue
Assalam.
Recently I had a little bit unstable problem in my Win XP. I assume it was from the software that I've installed and uninstalled recently. But the unstable feeling isn't that troublesome for me. I can do many thing as I always do like design in Photoshop, make a web layout in Dreamweaver etc etc. But since I had a feeling of unstable (sometime I feel like the computer is freeze - but its not). So I think I should update my Win XP with Win XP Service Pack 1.
I put the cd in and run the installation (not to mention I got to change my Win XP serial number due to FCKGW serial number thingy are detected as PIRATED version). Everything seem so ok. Then I reboot (well reboot is restart - the same thing that Microsoft OS require to fulfill any changes that been made to a system file). It boot back so well but it stop there with black screen. I just had my mouse cursor to play around. I dont update my Win XP just because to play around with my mouse cursor (ONLY!). After several time of reboot (including boot in safe mode) but no luck, still stuch in the same black screen. Then I realise, what can I do - Format is only the way.
I put up my Win XP cd and boot using the cd. I choose fresh installation and select which partition to use and select option to quick format and using the NTFS filesystem. Ofcourse its work lah!
I just feel weird because I cant install the SP1 update. Is there something wrong with my hardware ? Or my software. Dont know what to say. Since I cannot update, just wait for the next release of the "GREAT" Micro$oft O$.
Anyway good thing that I do is I put win xp system file in its own special partition. So even though I format the system my download file, my web design is save in the another partition (actually I got 6 partition - not including Linux partition). Not just that I also had backup of my download file. So it come in handy again. No need to download those warez, crackz, etc etc again. Just put the cd and run the file. Easy. Save time, save resources, save money too!
So what I want to say here is ... WHERE THE HELL IS THE OTHER WRITER!!!
